then on the news...we listen to people telling us that within the next 10 years....the nhs......no....the government........will not have enough money to treat people who have cancer....

1 in 3 will have cancer.....

i give money every month to cancer research....if i develop it in the next 10yrs...i cannot be treated on the nhs...after paying my taxes.....and donating money

WHAT ABOUT LOTTERY FUNDING.....surely....cancer is more important than...works of art...or historical sites..

I agree with you, but the greedy pols all want instant gratification, ie photo ops and ribbon cutting ceremonies. They want to be able to show constituents tangible results, long term benefits are secondary to the short-sighted. There's also more room for skimming and cronyism when it comes to galleries or construction projects.
Very well said, I couldn't agree with you more, I reckon more people would buy lottery tickets, if they thought that some of the funding was going to help find the ultimate cure for cancer... !!..xx
Well done. 1 in 3 people die of cancer. So if more people did that maybe it would be less. I have lost people to cancer - most of us have.
